Uma Karan - Kuta Lombok

It was was everything we needed in a hotel--quiet, comfy bed, clean bathroom, pool with sunbeds, wifi and free breakfast. We hired a driver for our entire stay for about USD40/day so the location of Uma Karan wasn't really a hassle for us but I can imagine it would be a bit inconvenient for those who have to walk or are renting their own car. The staff were very friendly and accmmodating. They gladly made us reservations at a spa and at all the restaurants we wanted to try and even called us a taxi to the airport. It was very reasonably priced and I would stay there again.

- Breakfast was a bit sparse (continental: toast, butter, jam, 1 sausage and 2 eggs; indonesian: fried rice or noodles) - not walking distance from seminyak square (but not an issue if you have a driver or take a cab)

Proprietress and staff are very friendly and quiet environment, the room is very large

Although it was a little farther away from the main strip of Seminyak than I would have liked, the accommodation was amazing, especially for the price. The room was super clean with western fixtures, a/c, and hot water. The pool was beautiful. I was recovering from a bit of Bali Belly while I was staying at the hotel and the bed was luxurious with clean soft sheets, nice pillows, and down comforter. I realize down may seem ridiculous for a warm climate, but I like to sleep with weight and it's a perfect combo with a/C. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and the staff were some of the nicest people I have ever encountered at a hotel.

The only downside is that from what I could tell (and to be honest, I didn't venture out because I wasn't feeling well), it was not easy to walk anywhere from the hotel, not even to a street to find taxis. That said, I'm sure the hotel staff would call you a taxi or car/driver to take you wherever you needed to go and it's not far/expensive to get to the main strip.

Comfortable and clean with all basic amenities available. Location isn't ideal but transport is just a phone call away. Hotel staff are more than eager to help. Great stay and will definitely recommend to friends and hopefully will come back one day

Breakfast isn't much choice. American breakfast can be serve at 7. but Fried rice or others available at 8. Small space outside if you have guest coming to visit you.

-It has a very cosy vibe.. -The friendly staff always there to help you with any thing.. -breakfast is nice and hot when delivered -At night a guard is on duty. -It's located away from the main road so almost zero traffic noise -pool is clean -no mosquitoes or bugs in room.. -lotsa channels on tv.. -room design is good.. -telephone in room -a villa feel with a hotel price...

We're more than satisfied staying at Uma Karan. Adore the layout of the rooms which are surrounding the pool. The rooms are great! Feel like spending the whole day there! Thank for the umbrellas that you've prepared for us even before we can feel the raindrops.

Breakfast can be improved- Indonesian breakfast too salty.

Lovely modern apartments very tastefully decorated (Japanese style). Beautiful pool. Friendly, helpful staff. Location pretty good, close to shops but not close to beach. Lots of building in surrounding area so currently not an attractive area.

Very clean and big bathroom. The room is also very big and clean. All rooms are modern and you will feel very well in them.

The breakfast was a little bit poor. You have the choice between two toasts with jam and eggs, also a juice and coffee or you take fried rice with coffee and juice. Thats Not enough if you are hungry. The second thing, I didnt like: No balkony or terrace at the rooms. The hole area of the Hotel is very very small. To small, I think. A little bit more space for balkonys at the rooms would be nice.

The staff were just gorgeous, we were traveling for business so we had a scooter to get around so the location was not an issue for us. ( it just off Sunset Rd away from the beach). The pool was lovely and the room very comfy, with a nice big bathroom. As were on the road earlish every morning we didn't bother with breakfast (it is fairly simple) we opted for stopping at our favorite places if we were so inclined to eat in the mornings. It is a small intimate setting for those that don't like BIG corporate style hotels...which we don't! :)

It's a pretty reasonable place to stay; not too far from Seminyak but not too close either; good pool area; pretty reasonable brekky; comfy and spacious room.

this is probably the most luxurious hotel room i've ever stayed at a budget hotel cost! I was so impressed with everything! and since they have like 10rooms, u will feel like u r the only guest n u will like u r in a private villa!and the pool is right in front of your room which we all loved so much!

its really a bit out of the way, but there is one supermarket within walking distance, and the clubs n bars n restaurants r quite far but you can still walk.

they didnt let me stay in my confirmed reservation , i had 6 days confirmed reservation when i get there they told me we will give u only 5 days

Booked in at Uma Karen for 1 night before going to the airport the next day to fly home. It was very modern and everything seemed brand new. Not dirty at all. Room and bathroom very nice. Bed very comfy. Throughly enjoyed our stay. Pool was great.....all well laid out. Was not noisy at all when we stayed. Just a little bit out of the main area but in walking distance and we hired a moped very cheap through the hotel with helmets.....staff very friendly and helpful. Road was fine for us outside the hotel and we really liked the location. Would definitely go back.

Nothing negative to write
